Improve productivity and technical capabilities by utilizing the latest technology

Katsui Kogyo's strength is its processing system that can flexibly handle small to large lots.

Recently, we have introduced CAD/CAM, which has made it easier to trace drawings and share shapes, greatly improving manufacturing efficiency.

In the future, we would like to further promote the use of CAM to improve efficiency and differentiate ourselves. With the evolution of AI and new tools, the accuracy and speed of processing have also improved, so we also need to continue learning. We will digitize any mistakes within the company, share and improve them, and promote the multi-skilling of our staff so that everyone can become a professional group with high skills.

 

If the speed at which work can be started increases, productivity will also increase, the company's profits will increase, and employees' salaries will increase. By streamlining operations, overtime hours will be reduced and it will be easier to take planned holidays. We would like to aim for a higher level of manufacturing by utilizing AI and the latest technology and combining it with human power.

After joining the company, I was in charge of machining on-site, and after gaining experience, I moved to sales and management.

 

Now, I work as a bridge between our partner companies and focus on delivery schedule management. I organize the order of orders and try to keep the site running smoothly. Katsui Kogyo has many serious employees who are skilled at manufacturing, and our strength is that we are able to cooperate well within the company. From now on, we would like to actively communicate in foreign languages ​​and build win-win relationships with overseas customers. I hope that a younger generation who loves manufacturing will join us and take on more complex products by utilizing new tools and AI.

Communicating Information Not Shown in Drawings to the Field

As a salesperson, I consciously strive to act as a liaison – ensuring that both buyers and sellers benefit. I meticulously examine the drawings and pay close attention to avoid any unnecessary steps before the processing stage. While adhering to the accuracy and quality depicted in the drawings is crucial, I also want to emphasize the "care" that goes beyond what is written – the integrity of our work. Our on-site craftsmen are truly reliable. They conduct inspections with exceptional diligence and attention to detail, allowing me to entrust tasks to them with complete confidence.

Looking ahead, I am eager to take on challenges in high-value-added fields that will be essential for the future society, such as equipment components, semiconductors, aerospace, and energy.

I would be delighted if we could increase the number of exciting jobs that ignite a desire in each employee to "do more," and if we could welcome more colleagues who enjoy delving deeply into various aspects of their work.

I want to take advantage of every opportunity I'm given.

I was in the customer service industry in my previous job, but I wanted to jump into the world of manufacturing, so I started out as a part-timer, doing picking and packing work. After that, I was in charge of stamping and hand finishing, and now I'm in charge of inspection. Inspection work requires the ability to read and understand blueprints and knowledge of machining, so I want to learn more about machines, materials, and processing methods.

Recently, there have been many new projects, so every time a new product is added, I look forward to what the next one will be.

The atmosphere at work is very good, and even if there is something I don't understand, my superiors and seniors will explain it to me carefully as many times as necessary. The president is also very friendly and pushes me to try all kinds of things, so I make suggestions while thinking, "Is it okay to say this?", but I'm grateful that he rarely says no.

I feel that the environment is in place so that even if you have no experience, you can grow little by little, and everyone has a chance, so I feel the joy of overcoming (growing) those challenges. That's what makes me happiest about working here.

New tools and young ideas are the key to our strengths

About four or five years ago, Katsui Kogyo did not require such strict inspections. However, in recent years, as new customers have increased, we have acquired ISO certification, introduced the latest inspection equipment, and accumulated a lot of new know-how and achievements, such as measurement methods tailored to the product.

The other two people came to this department with almost no experience in inspection work, but because they have no experience, they come up with ideas with a free mind, so I often realize how much my own fixed ideas have been getting in the way. Therefore, while trying not to cause trouble for our clients, we first leave things that we don't know to others, and we are working on creating a system that does not deliver defective products by sharing data on all mistakes, not just big ones, but also small ones.

"Earnestness and Sincerity" - The Greatest Strength of Katsui Kohgyo

As a general affairs officer, I am responsible for a wide range of tasks, including personnel-related matters, sending and managing invoices, and sometimes sales administration. Since we are a small company, we complete our monthly routine tasks early, and always try to handle new cases carefully to avoid mistakes.

Katsui Kogyo's staff take on difficult cases and jobs with strict deadlines seriously, and value responding sincerely to customer requests. I think this attitude is the defining characteristic of the company as a whole, and I feel that the impression of being "serious and sincere" is our greatest strength. I work every day to ensure that such staff can work with peace of mind.
